Judge, United States District Court, Central District of California
Sworn in as United States District Judge on July 7, 2006 following Senate Confirmation on June 22, 2006. Sat by designation with the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. One of six Patent Pilot Program Judges in the Central District of California. Elected in 1992 to the American College of Trial Lawyers. President of the State Bar of California in 1999-2000. Selected five times by the Daily Journal as one of California's Top 100 Attorneys. Selected as one of 50 "Best Lawyers in Orange County"; Honored by the UCI School of Law as a "True Founder of the School of Law", by the L.A. Intellectual Property Law Association with its Distinguished Judge Award, and by the American Inns of Court with its Professionalism Award.

Judge, United States District Court, Northern District of California
Haywood S. Gilliam Jr. serves as a United States District Judge for the Northern District of California. Judge Gilliam received his commission in December 2014. He graduated magna cum laude from Yale College in 1991 and received his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1994. After law school, Judge Gilliam clerked for the Honorable Thelton E. Henderson, then the Chief Judge for the Northern District of California. Judge Gilliam was in private practice from 1995 to 1998 and worked at the U.S. Attorney¡¯s San Francisco Office from 1999 to 2006, ultimately serving as Chief of the Securities Fraud Section. Before his appointment, Judge Gilliam¡¯s law practice focused on white collar criminal and regulatory matters and internal investigations.

Presiding Judge, the German Federal Supreme Court
Peter Meier-Beck is a Judge at the Bundesgerichtshof, the German Federal Supreme Court. He is a German national, born in 1955, who received his law education at the Universities of Bonn and Freiburg, taking law degrees in 1980 - 1984 and a doctorate in law from the University of Freiburg. He practised as an attorney-at-law in 1984. After stages as a judge at the Dusseldorf Landgericht (Regional Court) and Oberlandesgericht (Higher Regional Court) from 1985 to 1993 he assumed the position of the Presiding Judge of Dusseldorf Regional Court's 4th Civil Chamber which acted as North-Rhine Westphalia Patent Litigation State Court. In 2000 he was appointed Federal Judge and member of the Bundesgerichtshof where, again, he deals with patent and competition (antitrust) cases. While remaining a member of the competition law division he served as the Presiding Judge of the 10th Civil Senate (Patent Division) from September 2010 to September 2019. Since then he serves as the Presiding Judge of the Competition Law Division and the 13th Civil Senate. Dr Meier-Beck has been teaching intellectual property law and especially patent law for many years. Since February 2005 he holds an Honorary Professorship at the University of Dusseldorf.
